Description:
In contrast to the Special Blend, the bacteria in the Aqua Balance are in their spore state and and have to develop for a few days in the aquarium. In return, the Aqua Balance contains higher bacteria concentrations per ml, because they do not have to be fed in the bottle as is the case for the Special Blend. We recommend using the Aqua Balance whenever you wish to reduce very high levels of nitrate in the aquarium or if the nitrate problem cannot be solved solely with the Special Blend, or if the smell of the Special Blend is annoying.

Tips:
- Ensure that there are plenty of anaerobic (low-oxygen) zones in the aquarium, because that‘s where bacteria convert nitrates into nitrogen. Use Ceramic Rings, for example, to do this.
- Use Aqua Balance after cleaning and changing the filter material and after using medication.
- To break down nitrates and other pollutants even faster, use Aqua Balance in combination with Special Blend.
